The past few weeks here in Ohio have been nothing but hot and humid. We had a break yesterday with a high of only 82 (still humid but at least it wasn't 90). The girls and I took the opportunity to go to the park...
Black-eyed Susan's are one of my favorite flowers, I just love their vibrant yellow/orange color.
The girls both enjoyed the day too. It's been so hot and humid - they haven't been outside much. Unless it has been to go swimming or to play in the sprinkler, they haven't wanted to be out the last couple of weeks.
We are almost ready for school to start here; the girls wish summer would never end, I on the other hand am looking forward to the start of a more structured routine again! Blessings:)

Beautiful photos! I just got a new camera for my b-day, and can't wait until we have a sunnier day to take photos of things other than my art. :)
We start school in a few weeks, and I'm definitely ready for more of a routine!
Enjoy the rest of the summer break.
Another wonderful photo essay! My fave is definitely the first one, with your daughter lost in thought. I always love the caught-off-guard, candid moments, when the subject doesn't even know you're taking their pic!
Have you sent in some of your work to Stampington? Can't wait to hear all about it!:-)
Ahhhhh...summer in Ohio!! LOVE the photos. I can't believe school is almost here!!
Yes routine is definitely needed around here too. We start school here right after Labor day. I will watch three little back packs marching off to school this year, and one little lost puppy left at home.
I love that last picture with the trees. Is that a sepia setting? I did not get to look at it too long...had two grumpy girls on my lap at the time. Hope your humidity breaks soon. I noticed we get lots of the same weather, (it comes off the lake) but we missed the humidity this week.
Cheers,
Leah
your girls are so cute! great pics. I also like what you did w/ the tree photo. Hope it cools off for you there in the buckeye state!
